Laundry Cartons
Laundry Carton Packs

Unilever has launched new carton pack versions of some of its laundry liquid products under the Persil, Surf and Comfort brands. These carton packs are made predominantly with paper (70%) and plastic. They have a plastic spout and cap, as well as a plastic lining which helps to make the card waterproof. Plastic glue is used to hold the carton together.
The cartons can be recycled, but not all areas of the UK facilitate carton recycling as part of home kerbside collections.
To find out if you can recycle these cartons at home, or at a nearby recycling collection point, please visit the link below. In either case, rinse and flatten the empty carton and leave the cap on before recycling.
Use this tool to check how to recycle cartons in your local area.
Plastic Bottles
The plastic bottles for Persil, Surf and Comfort laundry liquid products are collected for recycling as part of home kerbside collections i.e. by 75% or more local authorities in the UK. Please follow recycling instructions on each pack. For bottles with a plastic label sleeve, like certain Surf and Comfort bottles, please remove the sleeve before recycling the bottles and caps. The sleeves have perforations to make it easy to remove them. The sleeves are not currently recyclable and should be put in with your general waste.
