ECO EVENT NUMBER 3: WORLD WATER DAY
You’re probably wondering, “what is World Water Day?” but don’t worry! We’ve got you covered with these Water Day facts:
One of the most important World Water Day facts is obviously when it is celebrated. World Water Day is celebrated on 22nd March each year.
So, what is International Water Day? It is the day that (since 1993!) people raise awareness about the importance of fresh water. For example, did you know that over 2 billion people live without access to clean, safe water?
World Water Day is about taking action too, not just raising awareness! As well as asking, “what is water day?” you should be asking, “what can I do?” A few ways you can make a difference include:
Don’t waste water. Shower instead of bathing, take shorter showers and turn off the tap when brushing your teeth.
Eat less meat. Did you know that gallons of water are used to produce meat? Reduce consumption, reduce the footprint.
Be water efficient. This includes filtering your water.
Volunteer or donate. Where you can, volunteer your time to organisations to raise awareness. If you don’t have the time at the moment, instead donate money to causes which help to fundraise.
ECO EVENT NUMBER 4: GO GREEN WEEK
Our final event is Go Green Week. Read on for some great Go Green Week ideas and facts:
Go Green Week is a chance for people to get involved with making lifestyle changes which may seem small but could make a huge difference to the environment.

A few ideas of changes you could make during Go Green Week include:
Switch to reusable, washable alternatives. This could include make-up removal wipes, cloth baby nappies and even sanitary products such as cloth pads or menstrual cups.
